Black dress party

The New York Times just posted this great picture of Marlene Dietrich in a black dress at the funeral of Gary Cooper in 1961. The reason behind it is the up-coming release of a book by jetset photographer Barry Feinstein, with poetry by Bob Dylan. But to me the photo captures the great look of bygone days, the dead and the nearly dead, the great lives they lead only represented by their great looks and elegant dresses.
